Why not pamper yourself to a beautiful Swedish Massage?
This is another opportunity for you to enjoy a full body or a back massage either in the comfort of your own home or you may wish to come to my house. I trained in Devon and I am ITEC qualified (1993).
What Is Swedish Massage?
Swedish Massage can be defined as the systematic and manual manipulation of the body’s soft tissue. Its purpose is to allow the body to be restored into a natural state of equilibrium, thus promoting all-round health and well-being.
A variety of techniques using the hands and fingers are used to help relax the muscles and to relieve any knots or tension that the body may hold.
In scientific terms, the main purpose of a Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood to help release toxins from the muscles.
What Are The Benefits?
There are many benefits from receiving a Swedish massage including;
- Strengthens immune system
- Eliminates toxins
- Improves flexibility of the joints
- Relieves muscle tension
- It is invigorating
- Relaxes
- Improved circulation reduces stress
What Will The Session Entail?
Before the session begins, you will receive a free consultation which generally takes about fifteen minutes. We will have a chat about how you feel and why you would like to receive a massage treatment. I will then ask you to complete a health questionnaire so that we can ascertain your individual requirements. This will be in the strictest of confidence and any unwanted information will be automatically shredded.
I will then ask you to make yourself comfortable lying face downwards on the massage couch. (At that point, I will leave the room to wash my hands and to respect your modesty). You will lie on a soft towel and your full body will be covered with a light cotton sheet.
As a natural precaution, men will only be given a back massage, and only in my house.
What Garments Will I Need To Remove?
For a back massage you will be asked to remove the clothes from your upper body. A full body massage will require you to remove your clothing with the exception of your under-garments below your waist. You will also be asked to remove any jewellery around your neck and wrist. (Rings are okay).
Your modesty will be respected at all times and the only part of your body to be exposed will be the bit that is receiving a massage. Areas massaged on a full body are normally the back, neck, shoulders, arms, legs (front and back) and feet. Areas massaged on a back massage are the back, neck and shoulders.
What Preparations Do I Need To Do Prior To My Visit?
- It is a good idea to not eat a big meal a good hour before the session as this may give you indigestion.
- Try to drink plenty of water before the session to start the process of flushing out toxins from the body.
